ICW Mile 140 – Marine Corps Birthday – Semper Fi! We started the day before sunrise to try to beat the winds coming in and 42 Nmiles to get to Oriental. But of course our anchor is stuck on something. But we just kept going reverse and forward in a circle and finally freed it. Otherwise Bill would have been going diving. Today we left the Pungo River and went down a beautiful Fish Sanctuary area. We went under the Hobuken Bridge and thought of all our Hoboken, NJ family. Then out in blue waters of the Pamlico Sound. We ended up in Oriental right as the winds were picking up. So between the wind and the dock guy, the docking was a little crazy for a few minutes. But nice spot for next couple of days until Hurricane Eta passes. We enjoyed a nice dinner at MM’s cafe with Capt Charlie (retired veteran) from Gemini cat Festival tied up next to us. Good conversation and good beers on draft.

I meant to wish you both a happy 32nd anniversary. Larry
