ICW Mile 182 – Happy Veteran’s Day! A nice day on the Oriental Marina dock to clean up, restock and do some boat maintenance. I got a nice bike ride and walk in to explore Oriental. Early afternoon, the winds started to picked up as we started to see Hurricane Eta coming our way. We had dinner at some good friends of ours, Butch and Vicki. They live in Oriental. We were joined by their friends who also just came in to Oriental by boat and actually came from Herrington Harbour, our old stomping grounds. So Bill and they knew alot of the same folks. Lots of very funny boat yarns from the group. Really nice evening. Going to be rocky night on the boat tonight, so glad we are tied up well.

Glad to see you freed your anchor and managed your way to a safe harbor before the storm. We’ve been through the latter up nearing Nova Scotia, – it wasn’t fun. Stay safe. We’ll be following along. -R & M
