So up before dawn and winds already up and small craft advisory in Solomons starting at 11am. We debated if we were going and decided if we did not go now then we would be stuck in Reedville for another 7-10 days with winds up and in wrong direction to get across the Potomac River. So off we go. And around 10am heading across Potomac River got caught in Thunderstorms. This is not for the faint of heart to be middle of Chesapeake Bay getting knocked around. Luckily the strong West winds were at least somewhat with us and we hauled ass across the Potomac with Sails up sometimes sailing up at 8.8Knots. Bill and I bounced around like 2 kids on a trampoline for 4 hours. But our new dinghy “Happy” had a good time. The 2nd 4 hours beautiful day and sailing. And we were so happy the thunderstorms and winds in Solomons held off until we were back in our slip. We were so happy to see many of our SYC friends.

Glad you are safe and sound!!
