Fog finally lifted about 9:30am. So we dropped Jimmy off & slowly started down the ICW Mile Markers (MM) 0 thru 11.3 (one the most complicated leg with couple of Lift Bridges and Great Bridge Lock). Bill & I have talked and dreamed about this section for years. This was a dream come true for us. It was another beautiful calm day with not too many boats waiting at each place. Everything went so smooth, but it still took a good part of the day. So we ended up docking right after the lock at the Great Bridge dock. And of course Bill met a bunch of other boaters. 2 boats from Connecticut (one with 10-year old Max going to school from his boat), some fun guys from Texas and a Dive Commander from Virginia Beach. And watched the barges go right by us & into the lock. I got a walk in along the canal and learned all about the Great Bridge Historic Battle. Hoping for early start tomorrow to try to get to Coinjock (MM50).
